Research Collections

In the 1990s and extending into the 2000s, John Keeves established the connections between SAIER, ACER, and the Flinders University Institute of International Education (FUIIE). These connections continue through Katherine Dix. As owner and Chief Editor Shannon Research Press and a founding member of FUIIE, Katherine worked closely with John in the role of publisher and Online Editor for the International Education Journal (IEJ). 

The collaboration also involved the production of research monographs, 17 in total, that have previously only been available in print. With FUIIE and Shannon Research Press no longer in operation, SAIER is now proud to continue the sharing of knowledge by providing a digital home for the educational Theses and research that Shannon Research Press specialised in publishing.

About Shannon Research Press 

Shannon Research Press was established in 1999 by Dr Reaburn Reynolds, Senior Lecturer in the School of Education at Flinders University and a founding member of FUIIE, to commercially publish, promote and distribute good educational research to the broader international education community. Following the retirement of Reaburn in 2001, Dr Katherine Dix bought Shannon Research Press and continued to be the Operations Manager until closing the publishing house in 2021.
